NCGA Current Operations Appropriation Act of 2023
This act from the NC General Assembly prohibits counties from adopting any sort of restrictions (including bans, fees, and other regulations) on the use of “auxiliary containers,” including single-use plastics. However, counties are allowed to regulate the use of auxiliary containers on property owned or maintained by the county. 2023.
